# Review service readiness and activation

## Read the service readiness notice

The **Services** page checks whether each service is ready for the agent. If a service needs work, the page shows a notice such as **N services need configuration**. The AI column identifies the missing requirement.

Open a service to start the wizard at its first missing step. The wizard marks completed steps and shows the remaining issue in the relevant step.

</div>

## Common requirements

The required checks depend on the service outcome. Common examples include:

- a service name and usable customer description;
- a valid price for the selected pricing model;
- a fixed price when the service collects payment before booking;
- at least one accepted payment method for a paid journey;
- a connected calendar and selected calendar or resource for appointments;
- a location with address and business hours for in-person appointments;
- a valid attendance mode and video URL when external video is selected;
- required intake questions and answers configured correctly; and
- an approved quote rule when the service uses a calculated quote.

The panel can offer **Open payments** or **Open integrations** for a missing dependency. Follow that action and return to the service wizard afterward.

## Save without activating

Select **Save draft** when a dependency is not ready. The service remains in the catalog without being available for the active customer journey. The panel confirms that changes were saved and can state that requirements are still missing.

Saving a draft does not delete existing service requests. It also does not change the live agent until the service and any dependent agent configuration are ready for the customer journey.

## Activate the service

Select **Save and activate** from the Review step after resolving the issues. The panel recalculates readiness and reports whether the service is ready for the agent.

If activation is blocked, read the exact issue instead of turning on unrelated settings. For example, an appointment without a connected calendar should remain a draft until [Google Calendar](/en/resources/docs/google-calendar-connection) is connected and a resource is available. An in-person appointment without a schedulable location should remain a draft until the location has an address and hours.

## Check the agent separately

Service readiness does not replace agent readiness. The service can be complete while the agent still needs a customer channel, a published configuration, or activation. Review [Agent readiness](/en/resources/docs/review-agent-readiness) and [Publish and activate an agent](/en/resources/docs/publish-and-activate-an-agent) before promising that customers can use the service.

## If a service needs review later

Return to **Services**, use the **Review** filter or the AI readiness notice, and open the affected row. Resolve the first missing step, save, and check the confirmation. Existing customer requests remain available in [Service Requests](/en/resources/docs/service-requests-overview).
