Partner commissions and payouts
Understand how Interlinked AI partner commissions are calculated, when payouts happen, and how recurring commissions work for referred customers.
How commissions work
When a new customer subscribes to a paid Interlinked AI plan using your partner code, you earn a commission on their subscription payments. The commission is a percentage of the amount the customer actually pays — calculated after the customer’s referral discount has been applied.
Here is the current commission model:
| Component | Current rate |
|---|---|
| Customer discount | 10% off their first eligible subscription payment |
| Partner commission | 10% of each subscription payment (after discount) |
The customer discount applies only once — on the first eligible payment. Your partner commission applies to every subscription payment the customer makes, for as long as they remain subscribed and paying.
Worked example
To see exactly how this works, consider a real scenario.
Suppose a referred customer subscribes to a plan that costs $100 USD per month, and they enter your partner code during checkout:
| Step | Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Full plan price | — | $100.00 USD |
| Customer discount (10%) | $100.00 × 10% | −$10.00 USD |
| Customer pays | $100.00 − $10.00 | $90.00 USD |
| Partner commission (10%) | $90.00 × 10% | $9.00 USD |
In this example:
- The customer pays $90.00 USD instead of $100.00 for their first payment (they save $10.00).
- You earn $9.00 USD on that first payment.
- On the customer’s second payment and beyond, the customer pays the full $100.00 (the one-time discount no longer applies), and you earn $10.00 USD (10% of $100.00) per payment.
Tip
The more referred customers you have — and the longer they stay subscribed — the more your recurring commissions add up. A partner with 10 active referred customers on a $100/month plan earns approximately $100 USD per month in commissions.
Recurring commissions
Partner commissions are recurring, not one-time. This is one of the most important aspects of the Partner Program:
- You earn a commission on every subscription payment made by each referred customer.
- Commissions continue automatically for as long as the referred customer stays subscribed and their payments are successful.
- You do not need to do anything after the initial referral — the system tracks payments and calculates commissions automatically.
When commissions stop
Commissions for a specific referred customer stop when:
- The customer cancels their subscription.
- The customer’s payment fails repeatedly and their subscription ends.
- The customer downgrades to the Free plan (which has no subscription payment).
If a referred customer cancels after 6 months of payments, you receive commissions for those 6 months. Once they stop paying, future commissions for that customer stop as well.
Note
If a referred customer cancels and later resubscribes, the referral attribution may still apply depending on platform behavior at that time. The Partner Program is designed to reward ongoing referral relationships.
Payout timing
Commissions do not become available for payout immediately after a customer’s payment. There is a 7-day waiting period after each successful subscription payment before the associated commission is available.
This waiting period protects against payment reversals, chargebacks, and other billing corrections. After 7 days, the commission moves from “pending” to “available” and can be paid out through Stripe.
Payout delivery
Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect, directly to the bank account you set up during partner onboarding. You do not need to request payouts manually — they are handled automatically by Stripe once commissions clear the waiting period.
Pending vs paid commissions
Your Partner Dashboard shows two commission categories:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending commissions | Commissions that have been earned but are still within the 7-day waiting period, or have not yet been transferred by Stripe. |
| Paid commissions | Commissions that have already been sent to your bank account through Stripe. |
Both values are visible on your dashboard so you always know how much is on the way and how much has already been deposited.
Commission rate changes
The current standard commission rate is 10%, but commission rates may change over time:
- High-performing partners may receive an increased commission rate as a reward for consistent referrals and high activity.
- Standard rates may be adjusted by Interlinked AI as the program evolves.
- If your commission rate changes, Interlinked AI will notify you by email before the change takes effect.
- New rates apply automatically to future subscription payments — you do not need to take any action.
Important
Commission rates and program terms are subject to change. Do not present the current 10% rate as a permanent guarantee when promoting the Partner Program. See Partner Program rules for additional terms.
How commissions interact with billing-term discounts
Interlinked AI offers billing-term discounts (15% for 6-month terms, 25% for 12-month terms) in addition to partner code discounts. When a referred customer selects a longer billing term and uses your partner code:
- The billing-term discount reduces the base subscription cost.
- The partner code discount applies on top, reducing the first payment further.
- Your commission is calculated on the final amount the customer pays after all discounts.
For details on how billing-term discounts work, see Plans and pricing.
