Channels and integrations overview
Connect Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp Business, and Google Calendar in the current Interlinked Channels page.
NEEDS VALIDATION
This page includes product areas with mixed maturity or conditional behavior. Verify the current UI and tenant state before using it as external operating guidance.
Where connections live
Open Channels in the AI & Automation section of the panel. The page may show the heading Integrations while the sidebar calls the area Channels. This is the workspace-level place to connect communication channels and supporting services.
The page currently separates:
- Communication Channels — Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp Business; and
- Agent Plugins — Google Calendar for appointment workflows.

Connection is different from agent assignment
Connecting an account makes it available to the workspace. It does not by itself decide which agent responds there. After a successful connection, the panel can ask you to Assign the channel to an agent.
Only one agent can respond for a communication channel at a time. You can change the assignment later from the channel flow or the selected agent’s Apps settings. An agent must also be published, ready, and active before customers receive its responses.
What you can connect
| Connection | Customer-facing use |
|---|---|
| Instagram Direct conversations and supported comment follow-ups. | |
| Facebook Messenger | Messages sent to a Facebook Page. |
| WhatsApp Business | WhatsApp customer conversations and approved template broadcasts. |
| Google Calendar | Availability and appointment handling for workflows that use a calendar. |
Use the platform-specific articles for account requirements and provider review steps. Provider availability, permissions, and account status can change independently of Interlinked.
Connection states
An unconnected card shows Connect. A connected card shows the account name and Active state, with controls to turn the connection off or disconnect it. If the panel reports an error, keep the exact message and follow Meta connection troubleshooting or the instructions shown by the provider.
Before launching an agent
For a customer-facing channel, check all three layers:
- The provider account is connected.
- The channel is assigned to the intended agent.
- The agent’s readiness card no longer shows a missing connection or assignment.
For the workspace-level controls, read Manage connected channels. For agent-level settings, read Configure an AI agent.
