Complete partner onboarding with Stripe Connect

Understand the Stripe Connect onboarding process for the Interlinked AI Partner Program — what information is collected, why identity verification is required, and how payouts are secured.

What is Stripe Connect

Stripe Connect is a secure platform used by Interlinked AI to handle partner identity verification and commission payouts. When you join the Partner Program, you complete a one-time onboarding process on Stripe Connect that confirms your identity and sets up how you receive payments.

Stripe Connect is a product of Stripe, one of the most widely used payment platforms in the world. It is the same technology that powers payouts for major marketplaces, freelance platforms, and creator programs. Interlinked AI chose Stripe Connect so that your personal and financial information is handled by a trusted, PCI-compliant payment provider — not stored directly by Interlinked.

What to expect during onboarding

After you click “Apply as a partner” (from the landing page) or “Become a partner” (from the panel), you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted page. The page may take a few seconds to load — do not close the window during this time.

On the Stripe Connect onboarding page, you will be asked to provide the following types of information:

  • Full legal name — Your first and last name as they appear on your government-issued identification.
  • Date of birth — Used to confirm you meet the minimum age requirement.
  • Government-issued ID — A valid photo identification document such as a passport, national ID card, or driver’s license. Stripe may ask you to upload a photo or scan of this document.
  • Home address — Your current residential or legal address.

Contact information

  • Email address — Used by Stripe for onboarding communications and payout notifications.
  • Phone number — May be required for verification or two-factor security.

Payout information

  • Bank account details — The account where you want to receive your commission payouts. Stripe uses this information to transfer funds directly to your bank.

Note

The specific fields Stripe displays may vary depending on your country of residence. Stripe adjusts the onboarding flow based on local regulatory requirements.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to join the Partner Program. This requirement exists because Stripe Connect collects identity verification and financial information that is subject to legal age restrictions in most jurisdictions.

If you are under 18, you will not be able to complete Stripe Connect onboarding and therefore cannot join the program at this time.

Identity verification

Stripe may ask you to verify your identity through a photo of your government-issued ID. This is a standard identity verification step — similar to what banks, investment platforms, and other financial services require when setting up a new account.

The verification process typically takes a few minutes. In some cases, Stripe may need additional time to review your documents. If this happens, Stripe will notify you by email when the review is complete.

Tip

Make sure the photo of your ID is clear, well-lit, and shows all four corners of the document. Blurry or cropped images are the most common cause of verification delays.

Your information is secure

Interlinked AI does not store your bank account details, government ID images, or sensitive financial information. All of this data is collected, encrypted, and stored by Stripe.

When you enter your bank account or upload an ID document during Stripe Connect onboarding, that information goes directly to Stripe’s servers. Interlinked AI receives only the minimum information needed to operate the Partner Program — such as your partner account status and whether onboarding is complete.

Important

Interlinked AI will never ask you to send bank account details, ID photos, or other sensitive financial information through email, chat, or any channel outside of the Stripe Connect onboarding flow. If someone asks for this information outside of Stripe, do not share it.

What if onboarding is interrupted

If your Stripe Connect session is interrupted — for example, if you close your browser or lose your internet connection — you can resume the process:

  1. Return to the Partner Program page where you started (the landing page or the panel).
  2. Click “Apply as a partner” or “Become a partner” again.
  3. A new Stripe Connect link will be generated, and you can continue where you left off.

You do not lose any information you already submitted. Stripe saves your progress and picks up from where you stopped.

After onboarding

Once Stripe confirms that your identity is verified and your payout information is complete, you are returned to Interlinked to create your unique partner code. This is the final step before you become an active partner.

For details on choosing your code, see Create and use your partner code.
