Manage storefront products

Catalog products and storefront products are different lists

Your Products catalog remains the source of product information. The storefront has a separate selection that controls which products are public. Adding a product to the catalog does not necessarily make it visible in the storefront.

Open Online Store and select the Products tab after the first publication. During first-time setup, use the Products step in the progress rail.

Change the draft selection

The product picker shows the catalog count and the number selected for the storefront. Select products individually, search for a product, or use Select all by default when the entire catalog should be public.

The selection shown before publication is the Draft selection. The Overview tab compares it with Live products. If the counts differ, the panel shows Pending catalog changes and offers Publish catalog live.

Review the selection after an import, product deletion, price correction, or seasonal catalog update. The storefront should not expose a product that you no longer sell or that does not have customer-ready information.

Publish the selection

When the draft selection is ready:

1. Select Publish catalog live.
2. Read the confirmation showing how many products will be published.
3. Select Confirm and publish live.
4. Wait for Catalog published live!.
5. Select View live site to inspect the public result.

Publishing the selection updates which products are available on the public storefront. It does not change the product catalog itself and does not publish an AI agent configuration.

Complete images separately

The Products tab can show Complete missing images, which opens the product media view filtered for storefront use. Use Manage product images to upload or replace images.

Missing images use a neutral placeholder and do not currently block publication. The selection can therefore be published before every image is ready, but complete media as soon as practical for a polished customer experience.

Keep public and internal catalogs intentional

Use the storefront selection for public merchandising, not as a replacement for inventory management. Keep product prices, descriptions, availability, and SKUs accurate in Products, then decide separately which items customers should browse on the public site.

If a product appears in the live storefront after you expected it to be removed, check both the draft selection and the published selection. A draft edit is not public until you confirm Publish catalog live. If the product is still present after publication, refresh the live site and check whether you are viewing a custom domain or the default public URL.
