Finish onboarding and create a draft agent

Review before creating the draft

The last chapter of the onboarding wizard is Review. It summarizes the information collected for the workspace and agent, including the selected workflow, model, voice, required operations, and catalog or service setup.

Use Edit beside a section when something needs to change. Do not continue while a required catalog is only staged or while a required connection still shows an incomplete state.

Create the draft agent

For the initial workspace onboarding flow, select Create draft agent. The panel saves the setup and opens the new agent’s detail page. The agent is created off with a draft configuration.

When you create another agent from My Agents, the equivalent action is Create agent and review. That action also leaves publishing and activation for the next stages.

The finish action does not:

• publish the agent configuration;
• turn the agent on for a customer channel;
• prove that every connection or workflow requirement is ready; or
• send an opening message to customers.

This separation gives you a final opportunity to review what the agent can do before it is customer-facing.

Continue from the agent detail page

On the new agent page, look for Ready to activate and Complete requirements. The readiness card identifies missing configuration, connection, or assignment work. Use its action to open the relevant setup section.

Then follow this sequence:

1. Complete the items shown in readiness.
2. Publish the configuration when the draft is ready for the live baseline.
3. Use Validate and launch only when you want the agent to start responding on its assigned channel.

If you leave before finishing

The wizard displays Progress saved after its changes are stored. You can return later and continue the draft. If a step is optional, Skip for now or Skip section leaves that work for later; a required step must be completed before the wizard can advance.

If you close the wizard after creating the draft, open My Agents instead of starting onboarding again. The agent page is the source of truth for its draft, published configuration, readiness, and on/off state.
