Onboarding wizard

Publish and go live

Understand what happens when you click Publish in the Interlinked onboarding wizard — how draft data becomes your live AI agent configuration and what to expect after your AI starts answering customers.

Where Publish appears

The Publish button appears on the Connect channels step — the last step in the onboarding wizard. It becomes active after you connect at least one messaging channel (WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook Messenger).

You do not navigate to a separate “Publish” page. Publishing happens right on the Connect channels screen, after you have finished connecting your channels.

What Publish does

When you click Publish, the following happens in sequence:

1. Draft configuration becomes your live configuration

Most data you configured throughout the wizard — company information, workflow, delivery rules, calendar settings, business context, and connected channels — is written from the draft to your live AI agent configuration. This is an atomic operation for the AI configuration covered by Publish.

Product catalog uploads are the exception. Products are updated immediately when uploaded, replaced, added, or cleared. They are not held as draft catalog changes until Publish.

2. Onboarding is marked as complete

Your account is flagged as having completed the onboarding process. The wizard will no longer appear when you sign in. Instead, you will be redirected directly to the dashboard.

3. The AI agent goes live

Your AI agent immediately becomes active on all connected channels. From this moment, any customer who sends a message to your connected WhatsApp number, Instagram account, or Facebook Messenger page will receive an AI-powered response.

4. You are redirected to the dashboard

After publishing, the page automatically redirects you to the Interlinked dashboard at panel.interlinked-ai.com/en/dashboard, where you can monitor conversations, view metrics, and manage your workspace.

Important

Publishing is the point of no return for the onboarding wizard. Once you publish, the wizard closes permanently and the AI starts responding to real customers. Make sure you have reviewed your configuration before clicking Publish. If you need to make changes after publishing, you can use the AI Config wizard.

Before you publish — a checklist

Before clicking Publish, make sure you have completed these items:

  • Company name and industry are correct
  • Communication style matches your brand voice
  • Greeting message reads naturally and makes a good first impression
  • Workflow matches your business model (retail or service)
  • Workflow-specific configuration is complete (delivery rules, calendar settings, bank accounts, etc.)
  • Product catalog has been uploaded with accurate names, prices, stock, SKUs, and descriptions
  • Business context includes any special rules, policies, or instructions
  • At least one channel is connected

Tip

You do not have to connect all three channels before publishing. You can start with just one channel and add more later from the AI Config settings. Starting with a single channel lets you monitor the AI's performance before expanding to additional platforms.

What happens if I am not ready

If you are not ready to publish yet, you can simply close the browser. Your draft is saved automatically. When you sign back in, the wizard will reopen at the last step you were on, and you can continue from where you left off.

There is no time limit on completing the wizard. Your draft remains safely stored until you are ready to publish.

What to do after publishing

Once your AI is live, continue to What happens after you publish to understand how the AI handles conversations, how to monitor performance, and what your next steps should be.
