Manage sign-in and password
Understand how sign-in and password management works in Interlinked AI — learn the differences between email/password and Google sign-in accounts, where to change your password, and what account metadata is available.
What is the Account settings tab
The Account settings tab in Settings contains account-level metadata and manages sensitive actions related to your login credentials and account lifecycle. This is the tab you visit to understand how your account was created, manage your password (if applicable), and perform account-level actions such as deletion.
To access the Account settings tab, navigate to Settings → Account settings, or go directly to:
https://panel.interlinked-ai.com/en/settings?tab=account
Note
Despite the similar name, the Account settings tab is different from the Account information tab. Account information shows your identity details (name, phone, business, email), while Account settings deals with authentication, password management, and destructive actions.
Account metadata
The Account settings tab displays the following metadata about your account:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Member since | The date you first created your Interlinked AI account |
| The email address associated with your account | |
| Login method | How you authenticate — either email/password or Google sign-in |
This information gives you a quick overview of your account’s identity and authentication configuration.

Password management
One of the most important concepts in the Account settings tab is that password management depends on how you created your account. The rules are different for email/password accounts and Google sign-in accounts.
Accounts created with email and password
If you signed up for Interlinked AI using your email address and a password you chose:
- You can change your password directly from within Interlinked AI
- The password change is handled in the Account settings tab
- You are prompted to enter your current password and then set a new one
- This is the standard password management flow for traditional email-based accounts
How to change your password (email/password accounts)
- Navigate to Settings → Account settings at
https://panel.interlinked-ai.com/en/settings?tab=account - Locate the password management section
- Click Change password (or the equivalent action)
- Enter your current password to verify your identity
- Enter your new password
- Confirm the new password
- Save the change
Tip
Choose a strong, unique password that you do not use for other services. Combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. For maximum security, pair your password with two-factor authentication.
Recommended password practices
- Use a password that is at least 12 characters long
- Avoid reusing passwords from other accounts
- Consider using a password manager to generate and store strong passwords
- Enable two-factor authentication for an additional security layer
- Change your password immediately if you suspect it may have been compromised
Accounts created with Google sign-in
If you signed in to Interlinked AI through Google sign-in (OAuth):
- Password management is handled through Google, not within Interlinked AI
- You do not manage a separate Interlinked AI password in the same way
- Your authentication is tied to your Google account credentials
- To change the password used to access Interlinked AI, you would change your Google account password at https://myaccount.google.com
Why Google accounts handle passwords differently
When you sign in with Google, Interlinked AI uses Google’s OAuth protocol to authenticate you. This means:
- Interlinked AI never sees or stores your Google password
- Your login security is managed by Google’s authentication infrastructure
- Any changes to your sign-in credentials (password, recovery options, 2FA) are made through Google, not Interlinked AI
- You benefit from Google’s security features, including their own 2FA, suspicious activity detection, and account recovery
Note
Even if you sign in with Google, you can still enable two-factor authentication in Interlinked AI. This adds a second verification step specific to Interlinked AI, providing an additional layer beyond Google's authentication.
How to identify your login method
If you are unsure how your account was created, check the Login method field in the Account settings tab. It clearly indicates whether your account uses:
- Email and password — You created the account using the standard email registration flow
- Google — You signed in using your Google account
This distinction affects not only password management but also related account actions — see Delete or disconnect your account for how account deletion and Google disconnection work.
Account creation date
The Member since date shows when you first created your Interlinked AI account. This is useful for:
- Tracking your relationship with the platform — Understanding how long you have been using Interlinked AI
- Support interactions — The team may reference your account creation date when assisting with billing or account issues
- Trial eligibility — If you are wondering whether you are eligible for the Pro free trial, your account age and history are factors
Relationship with other settings tabs
The Account settings tab is closely connected to several other areas:
| Action or question | Where to go |
|---|---|
| View my name, phone, business name | Account information |
| Enable 2FA or review sessions | Security and two-factor authentication |
| Delete my account or disconnect Google | Delete or disconnect your account |
| Change notification preferences | Notification preferences |
| Update my Google profile image | Google account settings (external) |
What to do next
- Enable additional security — Pair your password with two-factor authentication for stronger protection. See Security and two-factor authentication.
- Review your profile — Make sure your account information is accurate. See Account information.
- Understand account deletion — Know the consequences of deleting your account before taking action. See Delete or disconnect your account.
