Upload a product catalog
Upload a CSV or Excel product catalog in Interlinked, review the detected columns and rows, and confirm the catalog change safely.
Start an import
Open Products, stay on the Catalog view, and select Import catalog. Choose a CSV (.csv), Excel (.xls), or Excel Open XML (.xlsx) file.
Interlinked opens the file in a staged import review. It does not replace or merge the active catalog merely because the file was selected. Continue through File, Review, Confirm, and Import to make the change.

File requirements
Use one product per row and provide clear column headings. Product name and price are required for a product to pass the basic import validation. Stock and SKU are strongly recommended when they apply to your business.
Useful columns include:
- product name;
- price and currency;
- stock or availability;
- SKU or another unique product code;
- description;
- category or brand; and
- attributes such as size, color, material, flavor, compatibility, or use case.
The importer can map common variations of a heading. Review the detected mapping instead of assuming a spreadsheet heading was interpreted correctly.
Review before confirming
On Review, check the mapping summary and row validation. You can search and filter the staged rows, edit values, bulk-fill repeated values, exclude rows, remove fields, hide a field from AI use, and restore an uploaded value when the panel offers that action.
After every correction, select Validate changes. Treat remaining required errors as a stop sign. Warnings may still be allowed, but read their explanation before importing.
For the full decision process, read Review and confirm a product import.
Choose the catalog impact
On Confirm, choose one of the following:
- Merge with catalog to add new products, update matching products, and retain products that are not in the file; or
- Replace catalog to make the validated file the complete active catalog.
The confirmation screen shows the expected additions, updates, unchanged products, and removals. Replace requires an exact confirmation phrase because products outside the file will no longer be in the active catalog.
After the import
The result reports the number of saved products and any image URLs detected or queued for media processing. Catalog data can be available before image processing finishes. Use Media or History to continue checking the result.
If you are importing during onboarding, the wizard uses this same staged catalog requirement. The wizard can continue only after a required catalog is confirmed, or after you select Skip for now when the step is optional.
