Calendar views and navigation
Learn how to navigate the Interlinked Calendar using month, week, and day views — including navigation controls, header display behavior, and the auto-refresh feature.
Available views
The Calendar supports three views that let you see your appointments at different levels of detail:
| View | Best for | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Month | Getting a broad overview of your appointment schedule | All appointments and blocked days across the entire month in a traditional calendar grid |
| Week | Planning your upcoming week and spotting gaps | Appointments displayed in a seven-day column layout with time slots |
| Day | Reviewing a single day’s appointments in detail | A detailed timeline showing every appointment and available slot for one specific day |
You can switch between views using the view selector at the top of the calendar. The calendar remembers your selected view as you navigate between dates.

Navigation controls
At the top left of the calendar, you will find navigation controls that let you move through dates:
- Back arrow — Move to the previous month, week, or day depending on your current view.
- Forward arrow — Move to the next month, week, or day.
- Today button — Jump back to the current date immediately, regardless of how far you have navigated.
These controls work consistently across all three views. For example, in month view the back arrow takes you to the previous month, while in day view it takes you to the previous day.
Header display by view
The date display at the top of the calendar changes depending on which view is selected. This helps you understand exactly what time period you are looking at.
Month view header
In month view, the header shows the month and year.
Example:
March 2026
Week view header
In week view, the header shows the month abbreviation and date range for the visible week.
Example:
Mar 15–21
If the week spans two months, both month abbreviations appear:
Mar 29 – Apr 4
Day view header
In day view, the header shows the full specific date including the day of the week.
Example:
Thursday, March 19, 2026
Tip
Use the day view header to quickly confirm the exact date you are reviewing. The full date format including the day of the week helps prevent scheduling confusion.
Refresh behavior
Manual refresh
To the right of the navigation area, there is a refresh button with a circular two-arrow icon. Click it to manually reload the calendar and see any newly booked appointments.
This is useful when you know an appointment was just booked through a conversation and want to see it immediately.
Auto-refresh
The calendar also refreshes automatically every 60 seconds, so in most cases you do not need to manually refresh. New appointments appear on their own within a minute of being booked.
Note
If you are actively watching the calendar while a customer is booking through a conversation, you can click the refresh button to see the appointment appear instantly rather than waiting for the 60-second auto-refresh cycle.
Settings and exceptions buttons
The calendar toolbar includes two additional controls:
- Exceptions button — Opens the booking exceptions page where you can block dates and time ranges.
- Gear icon — Opens the business hours settings where you can configure your available days and times.
Both of these controls are accessible from the top area of the calendar screen, giving you quick access to availability management without leaving the calendar.
