After onboarding: the AI Config wizard

Once you complete the onboarding wizard and publish, the onboarding wizard closes permanently. But you can still change any aspect of your AI agent configuration at any time using the AI Config wizard.

The AI Config wizard is accessible from the sidebar navigation in the Interlinked panel at AI Config (or Configuración IA in Spanish).

How AI Config differs from onboarding

The AI Config wizard contains the same configuration steps as the onboarding wizard but with important differences:

FeatureOnboarding wizardAI Config wizard
NavigationLinear only (Continue/Go Back)Free-form with sidebar navigation
Step jumpingNot allowedClick any step in the sidebar to jump directly to it
When it appearsAutomatically on first sign-inAccessible from sidebar menu any time
Publish behaviorCreates the initial live configurationUpdates the existing live configuration
Draft/DiscardImplicit (everything is a draft until publish)Explicit draft mode with Discard button

Free-form navigation

Unlike the onboarding wizard’s linear flow, the AI Config wizard provides a sidebar that lists all configuration steps. You can click any step to jump directly to it — no need to navigate through every previous step.

This makes it easy to update a single setting (like adding a new store location or changing your greeting message) without stepping through the entire configuration.

Draft and discard

When you make most configuration changes in the AI Config wizard:

  • Changes are saved as a draft until you click Publish.
  • If you decide you do not want to keep your changes, click Discard to throw away the draft and revert to the last published configuration.
  • Your live AI agent continues using the last published configuration while you are editing the draft.

Tip

Use the draft/discard model to experiment safely. You can try different communication styles, add qualification questions, or change workflows without affecting your live AI until you are ready to publish.

Product catalog exception

Product uploads and catalog actions are immediate. They are not saved as draft AI Config changes. If you upload, replace, add, or clear products from the Products step, the live catalog updates as soon as the action completes.

Common post-onboarding changes

Here are the most common reasons to use the AI Config wizard:

  • Update your product catalog — Re-upload a CSV/Excel file with new products or updated prices. You can also manage products from Products; catalog changes apply immediately.
  • Change your workflow — Switch from retail to service (or vice versa) if your business model evolves.
  • Add a new channel — Connect WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger channels you did not set up during onboarding.
  • Modify your greeting message — Update the opening line based on seasonal promotions or feedback.
  • Update business context — Add new rules, policies, or instructions as your business grows.
  • Adjust calendar availability — Change your available days, hours, or add date exceptions.
