Learn how the Pickup Only workflow works in Interlinked — a retail workflow where the AI offers in-store pickup at one or more physical locations with optional advance payment and preparation time.

When to use this workflow

Choose Pickup Only if your business operates from one or more physical locations and customers come to you to collect their orders. This workflow is ideal for restaurants, bakeries, florists, or any business where delivery is not offered.

How the AI handles conversations

  1. Greet the customer and help them explore your product catalog.
  2. Manage the cart — add items, update quantities, show totals.
  3. Present store locations — If you have more than one location, the AI asks the customer to select their preferred store. If you have only one, it automatically assigns that location.
  4. Handle advance payment (if configured) — If pickup requires a deposit, the AI shares the bank details and asks for the transfer receipt.
  5. Confirm the order — The AI creates the order and provides the customer with pickup details. The order appears on the Orders page for tracking and management.

Custom configuration steps

In-store pickup rules

  • Advance payment required — Toggle whether customers must pay a deposit before pickup. If enabled, you set the percentage of the total price (1–100%).
  • Preparation time — Whether orders are ready immediately or require preparation. Choose between immediate pickup or specify the preparation time in minutes, hours, or days. The AI will inform the customer when their order will be ready.

Tip

If you toggle "Immediate Pickup", the preparation time is set to zero and the AI tells customers their order is ready for immediate collection.

Store locations

Add your physical store locations. For each location, you configure:

  • Location name — e.g., “Main Store”, “Downtown Branch”
  • Address — Use the Find location button to search Google Maps and select the exact address.
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Business hours — Standard hours (Mon–Sat, 9:00–18:00) or custom hours per day.

You can add multiple locations. The AI will present all locations to customers and let them choose.

Bank accounts (conditional)

Bank account details are only required if you enabled advance payment in the pickup rules. Configuration is the same: bank name, account holder, and 18-digit CLABE.
